Artist's Statment

My work continually evolves through my ongoing exploration of materials, my experiences, and the state of our world. My own experiences are one of the many things that inspire me to create art. Currently, I am focusing on my sculptural and photography-based work. Through my work, I hope to connect with people who have had similar experiences and to share those experiences with people who haven’t. I aim to inspire the viewer with my hopes for our future.

In my most recent project, I examined the current threat of book censorship and the phenomenon of book burning. The threats to women's rights and access to information are crucial issues for me. I set out to allow myself to feel my despair and then turn it into a source of strength.
